Porcelain Veneers in Carson, CA

Enhance Your Natural Smile With Porcelain Veneers

Cosmetic issues with your teeth can leave you lacking confidence in your smile and struggling to eat and speak. Traditional treatment options, such as dental implants, braces, dentures, or tooth whitening, may prove overly expensive, inconvenient, or ineffective.

Now, thanks to advancements in dental technology, patients seeking a solution for damaged, discolored, and unevenly spaced teeth have the option of porcelain veneers.

What Are Porcelain Veneers?

Porcelain veneers are thin shells fitted over your natural teeth. Veneers can help strengthen, support, and instantly brighten your smile without the need for invasive surgery.

While veneers can be made of either composite resin or porcelain, Dr. Aluning offers porcelain veneers due to their superior durability and close resemblance to real teeth.

The Benefits of Porcelain Veneers

Porcelain veneers help protect your teeth from decay and disease and offer the following popular benefits:

  • Durable
  • Non-invasive procedure
  • Completed in two appointments
  • Custom-made
  • Can last up to 20 years with proper care
  • Protective
  • Stain resistant

The Porcelain Veneers Process

Your custom porcelain veneers can be placed in just a few short appointments to our Carson dental office. During your treatment, you’ll go through the following steps:

Initial Consultation

Before you receive your porcelain veneers, you’ll have an initial consultation with Dr. Aluning. During this consultation, we’ll thoroughly clean your teeth before she evaluates your whole mouth.

It may be necessary to treat any underlying dental conditions before the veneers are applied. Once Dr. Aluning has ensured that your oral health is in pristine condition, you’ll be ready to start your veneers treatment.

Preparation

Dr. Aluning will take detailed impressions of your teeth, which will serve as the template for your custom veneers. In order to meet your smile goals, we’ll ask you some questions. Dr. Aluning and her staff will use this information to ensure that your veneers blend seamlessly into the rest of your smile.

Once we receive your personalized veneers and all necessary supplemental treatments have been performed, we’ll schedule your placement appointment.

Before the procedure, we’ll perform another deep cleaning to prepare your teeth for the veneers. You’ll receive an anesthetic and if you’re nervous, we can administer a sedative.

Your teeth will be ready for the veneers after Dr. Aluning has removed a small amount of enamel from your teeth. This allows the veneers to remain in place.

Veneer Placement

Dr. Aluning will make sure the veneers are the proper size and shape before adhering them to your teeth with dental cement. After a short period of letting the bonding material dry, you’ll leave our office with your new smile!
